Psychometric Assessment

Selecting the best fit Career or the Course can be as difficult as choosing between an iphone or a Samsung. The choice you make decides the outcomes.

Psychometric tests are a standard and scientific method used to measure individuals' mental capabilities and behavioral style. Psychometric tests are designed to measure candidates' suitability based on the required cognitive abilities and aptitude.

Psychometric Test Different for the Stages and Grades

The tests differ for the stages and grades of the child. The tests most suited for Grades 9 and 10 are the Stream Selection or the Ideal Career Tests. These enable the child, parents and counselor to together make sound and scientific decisions regarding the child’s road map to College.

A student who has already joined a particular stream in Class 11 and is now unsure of the opportunities available can also take a battery of tests under the Career Exploration and Virtual Internships to come to a decision.

The reports generated for each test are very scientific and elaborately explain the aptitude, interest and career motivators of the child. The Psychometric tests we use at DCC are time based and need only answers in yes or no. The general viewpoints and thought process of the child is scientifically analyzed and report generated.

The test alone cannot be taken at face value as it does not consider the emotional and environmental influences on the child’s psyche. This is where the interpretation and discussion with the counselor becomes essential. The direct connection between parents’ plans and child’s dreams can be assessed and common ground found through these sessions.

A child equipped with a clear road map will not only be confident about the future but will also excel in his / her School. The feeling of clarity brings out the hidden talents and latent potentials of the child which can greatly influence the chances of admission in ways of profile building.
